Thank you for visiting the Meadowood Neighborhood Association website! - The Meadowood Neighborhood Association was organized on July 11, 1958, with the purpose to "work for community betterment," and to "promote fellowship."  To this end, the Association works for the Meadowood Area by sponsoring activities for residents, civic involvement, and representing the area with the City of Madison and other entities to benefit Meadowood residents. Our organization was originally called the "Meadowood Community Club" in 1957 by residents of the new Meadowood Neighborhood, which was then being built.  The group changed its name to the "Meadowood Community Association" in 1967 and has again updated the name to the "Meadowood Neighborhood Association.  We invite you to contact us with any questions or comments regarding Meadowood Neighborhood Association or the website.

Free Yard Signs! Love Your Lakes, Don't Leaf Them!Rain washes leaves in the street down storm drains and ditches and into nearby lakes and streams. Even if the leaves themselves don't move, rain seeping through leaf piles and leaves crushed by car tires makes a rich "nutrient tea" that flows along the curb into the storm drains. Leaves and grass clippings naturally contain nutrients such as phosphorus and nitrogen. If leaves and grass are raked or blown into the street gutter, the leaves and the nutrients they contain can be washed away before collection and end up in our lakes and streams, contributing to algae blooms. Give Lisa Veldran a call at 271-0722 if you want a sign!
